UK, November 19, 2009 - Sony's Video Delivery Service has finally launched in the UK, bringing some 2,000 movies to the PS3 to buy or rent.
Rentals begin at 1.99 EUR, and once downloaded are available for 14 days and for 48 hours after it has first been watched. Films can be bought from 7.99 EUR, with HD versions available for many of the titles.
The launch line-up boasts big hitters such as Star Trek, Terminator: Salvation and Bruno, and Sony plan to keep on expanding the catalogue on a weekly basis.
There's an incentive for early adopters – existing PSN users will get a free copy of The Da Vinci when they buy Angels & Demons, while new users will get a complimentary copy of Transformers.
The service is live on PlayStation Network now.
