Half a million units sold before Christmas.
PlayStation Move will hold a significant installed based advantage over Kinect by the time Microsoft's motion controller launches on November 10.
"Move sold well and continues to sell well," SCE UK marketing director Alan Duncan told MCV.
"It is all about getting the device in people's hands and we still need to keep doing that. It has been a real success for us, we're pretty much through a quarter of a million units and we expect to sell half a million before Christmas," said Duncan. "And when you have half a million advocates showing it to their friends and family, you will soon learn if you have a success or not."

There's no question that the launch of Kinect is generating significantly more hype than Sony's Move managed to muster back in September.
You can't question that half a million units is clearly a success, but Move faces a real possibility of being bypassed by the casual consumer after having their heads turned by Kinect. This week Microsoft revealed it has upped its Kinect sales forecast from three million units to five million units worldwide before the year end.
