As the UK readies itself for a Christmas of asinine warbling on the music front, courtesy of X-Factor, we can all breathe easy in the knowledge that there's still one more week before the Chart Track UK video games charts are finally set in stone for the festive period.
That gives the games-buying public a few more days to muster up some excitement action, as even the arrival of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm can't shake the mighty Call of Duty: Black Ops from the top of the UK Charts.
Also immobile at number two is FIFA 11 while Cataclysm puts on a brave face and canters in at three. That rude intrusion displaces Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Gran Turismo 5 and Just Dance 2 - all of which slump down a single digit from last week's position.
Elsewhere, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit stands firm at seven, freeing the lower reaches of the top ten up for a spot of pre-holiday moving and shaking. Most exciting of which is a rapid upward burst for king of the jungle Donkey Kong Country Returns, which barrel blasts from 12 to eight.
For this week's full top 20 chart run-down, kindly readjust your gaze to a southerly position. Till next time!
